Crossword Cove is a single player word game with a few special Pogo twists. The goal of the game is to fill in all of the words correctly based on the clues in the Across and Down lists.
Click on a square on the puzzle grid to select a clue. Click on the same square again to switch between the Across and Down clues, or press the Space Bar. Type in the answer using the keyboard; use Delete or Backspace to delete letters.
The Stars on the grid are Star Powerups; correctly answer the corresponding clue to collect the powerup, and it will be added to the Powerup Counter (the star with a number next to it). Click on the Powerup Counter to activate the powerup, and it will reveal the most common letters in the puzzle.
Click on the HINT button to see the answer in word-jumble form, and then
reorder the letters to find the correct answer. In this word game, you receive
half points for filling in an answer with Hint.
If you still can't figure out the answer from the hint, the HINT button will have
changed to the SOLVE button, and you can click that to have the answer filled
in automatically. You receive no points for filling in a word with Solve.
Click the blue EXPANDED CLUE LIST button for an expanded clue list which you
can place on the screen wherever you prefer. You can switch the expanded
clue list between a side-by-side and top-and-bottom view by clicking the
ROTATE button.
When you complete a puzzle, or would simply like to give up, click the ALL DONE
button. You can then click the SUBMIT button to score the puzzle, or click the
CHECK ANSWERS button have the computer check your answers and reveal any
mistakes to you. You can also click the CANCEL button to return to the puzzle
without checking your answers.

Here are some tips to make you a Crossword Cove winner!
Use the powerups as soon as you get them; the more of the puzzle you've filled in, the less help they will be.
Use Hint if you need a kick start to this word game puzzle; you'll lose a few points, but that one answer might help you answer many other clues.
Use the Expanded Clue List to get a better look at all the clues together;
you can scan through them more easily and find the clues you can answer.
While everybody earns ranks in Pogo games, only Club Pogo members earn

Crossword Cove • Re: Whole PuzzleBy helenmarie867 » May 15th, 2012, 11:33 pmIf you have changed your zoom settings on ANYTHING, not just the game you are playing, it can affect the game. I had this problem at one time, and had a heck of a time in figuring out what was wrong. The individual graphics of the game don't change -- but the components become separated -- or missing. (For example, the chat may have a huge white space between it and the game, or be cut off completely). Try holding down your control button while you move your mouse wheel up and down and see if you can get things properly resized. Good luck. |

This started yesterday - I play everyday - slow connections and not loading have started to be a problem this last week - I just keep coming back until it works! Twice this week I have completed a puzzle and I get that message "Nice Try". This was happening a couple of months ago and I was able to Talk to an Adviser and they would credit me for the puzzle. Now you cant even talk to the adviser. What a great Mothers Day. I feel POGO is going down hill and fast. I sure hope if they cant straighten all their problem out they hire someone that can. |

I lose all my game. I really love Pogo, but when It takes me over 1/2 hour (if lucky) to load games like Crossword Cove, World Class Solitaire, Mahjong I get really frustrated. I am glad (!) to see that I am not alone in this and that it is not just my computer. |

I have missed out all all the bonus points bec ause I can't open it. It iget in contacts so frustrating because I really do like to play the game. I have tried everything under the sun to no avail!!!! I payed to play these games and can't play them. POGO, you had better get these things ironed out or you are going to lose alot of customers. Oh yes, I think it is bad when you can't get in contact with you!!!! |

I just don't like that you can't see progress. And I did figure out that you can ony play the Mother's Day Appreciation games once a day. Hopefully by me posting this I don't start having problems. I do have a compaint about the help dept., they never answer if you can even get in, but I'm sure that will eventually be fixed. Goood luck everyone. |
